Jolly is at the forefront of the fight against corruption. The new ISO 37001:2016 certification ensures that effective measures are taken to prevent corruption and promote positive corporate values.
The phenomenon of corruption represents an obstacle to economic, political, and social development and a heavy distortion of the rules, fairness, and transparency of the markets. Jolly Scarpe is fully aware of this.
In addition to the adoption of the ISO 37001:2016 Certification, the company’s commitment to combating corruption is embodied in further good practices:
the encouragement of the reporting of incidents of corruption by providing employees and stakeholders with appropriate tools;
the encouragement of the reporting of incidents of corruption by providing employees and stakeholders with appropriate tools;
the absolute prohibition of conduct that might constitute corruption or attempted corruption;
Jolly Scarpe is a leading company that constantly innovates to meet the best standards and offer quality products. In 2022 it obtained another certification: the SA8000. What is it about?
SA is the acronym of Social Accountability. In fact, this certification considers the attention that a company has for the well-being and health of its employees. Specifically, it certifies the presence of effective processes that ensure the well-being of workers and continuous monitoring.
Some aspects evaluated
Respect for human rights;
Enhancement and training of employees;
Non-discrimination;
Commitment to safeguarding safety.
These requirements are also extended to suppliers and subcontractors.
In addition to two generators with a total power of 250 KW, we have recently completed installing the first part of our solar station (100 KWP).
With all these investments, we can operate successfully without drawing energy from the grid in the event of a power curtain. Together with a modern heat pump system, the factory is cooled and heated without the usage of any fossil energy and is therefore CO2 emission-free.
Furthermore, a sophisticated ventilation system allows using the heat of the compressors to warm the factory in winter further reducing the energy needed for heating in winter.
These are just some of the measures implemented in the new factory building to reduce our ecological footprint and increase energy efficiency.
Step by Oeko Tex
We are proud to announce that our production facility in Bucarest, got the Step by Oeko Tex certification. We are the first shoe factory in the World to get that certification. We don’t just talk about ecology, we act.
We are a social enterprise that has been involved in social communication and regular fundraising since 2005.
We work to provide economic support for social inclusion projects and programmes run by local partners in favour of families with family members suffering from autism and other disabilities.
We wish to promote a “different outlook” on social issues: without denying or downplaying the burden of these people’s daily challenges and efforts, for us it is important to tell, with a smiling face, about the potential of these young people and about the great strength of their families.
Through a capillary network of collaborators, we try to involve entrepreneurs and citizens alike in our projects, encouraging them to engage in “short distance” sponsorships and to sponsor inclusion projects long-term … not simply a child with autism or a disability.
What we do
We are involved exclusively in social communication and regular fundraising:we wish to create groups of supporters for our services that by committing to us on a long-term basis, can support inclusion and autonomy projects continuously and reliably, to improve the life of the many families who cope with a family member with autism or a disability every day of the year. And today, too.
We work on a partnership basis with voluntary sector operators that are monitored yearly by our Medical Committee.
Jolly Scarpe S.p.a. supports the Kharkiv firefighters for the occasion of its 40th anniversary.
Firefighters from the Ukrainian city of Kharkiv urgently needed new fire boots. The city, located in eastern Ukraine, is still under heavy fire from the Russian army and relief forces are working tirelessly under the most difficult conditions.
We are therefore delighted to have been able to help and provide the Kharkiv’s firefighters with 65 pairs of brand-new firefighting boots.
At the request of the Ukrainian Association in Switzerland, through Minerva, a head company of our group, we donated the high-quality Jolly shoes as part of our 40th company anniversary. Furthermore, 2022 is a year “full of anniversaries” for our group: 125 years of Minerva, 40 years of Jolly Scarpe, 25 years of Romania and 15 years of Bodany!
We thank the Ukrainian association for their commitment and also for the safe transport of shoes to Ukraine. We wish the brave firefighters of Kharkiv all the best and hope this unspeakable war ends soon.
